3-month blood sugar (HbA1c)

Regular monitoring of HbA1c levels is a key component of diabetes prevention and the management of diabetes mellitus. The HbA1c level, also known as long-term blood sugar, provides information about the average blood sugar level over the past 8 to 12 weeks. It enables a reliable assessment of long-term blood sugar control, regardless of short-term fluctuations.

Elevated HbA1c levels are often caused by impaired glucose regulation, as seen in diabetes mellitus or prediabetes. Other factors include an unfavorable diet, lack of exercise, obesity, and genetic predisposition. If elevated levels remain undetected or untreated, this can increase the long-term risk of secondary diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, nerve damage, or kidney problems.

In our pharmacy, we can determine your HbA1c level quickly, easily, and directly on site. The measurement is performed using a small drop of capillary blood from the fingertip and provides a meaningful result within a short time. This service is particularly suitable for: individuals with known diabetes for monitoring purposes, people with an increased risk (e.g., obesity, family history), and individuals who wish to check their blood sugar status preventively.
